The fine print, spelled out
Is there a setup fee or a monthly minimum?
There is no setup fee on any plan. The Build plan has no monthly fee or minimum at all, so you pay purely per successful payment. Scale adds a platform fee for higher limits and advanced controls, and Enterprise terms are negotiated with your contract.
What exactly is included in the per-payment fee?
All of it. Every component, both the client and server SDKs, unlimited API calls, test mode, the CLI, inline 3-D Secure and the standard security posture are covered by the per-payment price. There are no separate charges for the toolkit itself.
Am I charged for failed or retried payments?
No. The fee applies only to a payment that succeeds. Declines, errors and automatic retries are free, so a buyer who tries three times and succeeds once is billed exactly once.
What happens to the fee when I refund a payment?
When you refund a payment, the percentage portion is returned to you in proportion to the refunded amount. The fixed per-payment component is not returned, in line with standard processing practice, so a refund costs you only that small fixed fee.
How do cross-border cards and currency conversion work?
The headline rate is for standard European cards. Cards issued outside the region and payments that need currency conversion carry a small additional percentage, which is shown clearly in your dashboard before you go live and itemized on every payment.
Can I change plans, and what about volume discounts?
You can move between Build and Scale at any time, and the change takes effect on your next cycle with no penalty. As your volume grows, talk to us about Scale and Enterprise rates — the per-payment price comes down as you process more.
How and when am I billed?
Fees are deducted from each settlement and summarized on a monthly invoice with a full breakdown per payment. Choose monthly billing or settle annually for a lower effective rate on the Scale platform fee.
